What we do NOT do

How we protect your data

Files are uploaded over HTTPS (TLS 1.2 or higher). Files are stored on a private server with no public IP. The server runs only the password-replacement service and the order database. The password-replacement service has no network access except to the order database and the email sending service.

Your file is never opened by a human unless you explicitly ask us to look at it (for example, to debug a failed unlock). If we do look at it, we tell you in writing what we found and what we did.

Who processes your data

Gary Dully, England. The password replacement runs on a server located in the United Kingdom. Emails are sent via a US-based email delivery service (used for inbound and outbound transactional email only).

Our data controller is Gary Dully, trading as Cosy Flats, Cosy Flats & Houses, qbwtojson.com and qbwfileunlock.com. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office as data controller number ZC278036 (registered 18 October 2026, expires 17 October 2027). Our registration certificate is available to view here.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies at all - not for tracking, not for analytics, not for advertising and not for sessions. That is why there is no cookie banner on this site: there is nothing to consent to. The only thing we store in your browser is your chosen currency (US, UK, CA, AU or NZ), in local storage. That is a browser setting, not a cookie, it is never transmitted to us, and clearing your browser data removes it. See our cookie policy for the detail.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and email anyone with an active order.
